In science, models are a representation of an object, a process of a system, or an idea that scientists use to present information to help better explain the phenomenon. There are 3 types of models: Physical models, mathematical/computer models and conceptual models. When it comes to models, there are advantages and limitations.
- Saves money
- A version that you can work with
- Predictions can be made
- Questions can be asked and answered
- Details: The model cannot include every detail that is necessary.
- Approximate/Accuracy: Models are not to the exact scale of the actual item which can affect predictions.
