Clinical Skills
2.4: Physical Examination

In this unit, you will learn about the important concepts revolving around the different categories of animals.
Learning Objectives
I will:
1. Identify the importance of a physical examination.

Physical Examination

It is important to know the importance of a physical examination. Physical examination can help keep animals healthy. Click on the button below to learn about physical examination.
Physical Examination
A physical examination has many different parts. Watch the video below to learn about what a physical exam looks like for a dog.

Another area you need to be aware of are diagnostic laboratories. A diagnostic laboratory (clinical laboratory) is where tests are carried out to test if the patients health is normal. This will help aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Click on the button below to learn about different types of medical tests.

Routine Tests
Now that you have learned about some of the tests, take a look at how some of these tests are completed. Some of the terminology will be advanced, but do not worry about the terminology you do not understand. Take a look at the process.
